
Maciej Zmudzinski

Maciej Zmudzinski is a Senior Principal Engineer at McDermott, where he is the global technical authority on valves and actuation, and leads the Valve Team responsible for valve selection, procurement, installation, testing and commissioning.
A Mechanical Engineer who graduated from University of Toronto, Canada in 1997, Maciej is a registered Professional Engineer in Ontario with over 21 years of experience focused on valves, connection systems, piping components for the onshore, offshore and subsea installations.
Maciej’s career started with a Toronto based valve manufacturer as a Design Engineer responsible for the design, development, testing and production of severe service metal seated ball valves. After several years of working for different manufacturers of valves and high performance products for severe service piping applications, Maciej has joined McDermott as the Site Engineer responsible for subsea diverless connection systems and subsea valves for the INPEX Ichthys project. Later, he joined BP and worked on the Shah Deniz Phase II project as a Discipline Engineer responsible for subsea diverless connection systems, jumpers and spools. His career came full circle, when he rejoined McDermott in 2016 as Valve Specialist.
Maciej is a member of the Ontario Society of Professional Engineers as well as several internal committees and initiatives striving to enhance focus on Quality and raise awareness on Safety, Health and Environment.
