- Fincantieri Acquires Remazel Engineering...
Fincantieri has established the key terms for acquiring all shares of Remazel Engineering, a subsidiary of Advanced Technology Industrial Group. This acquisition, still pending certain conditions agreed upon by both parties, aims to accelerate Fincantieri’s growth in offshore and subsea technology and engineering. The deal allows Fincantieri to integrate advanced top side equipment design and supply capabilities, bolstering its position as a partner for global marine and subsea energy companies.
The addition of Remazel enhances Fincantieri’s comprehensive solution offerings, particularly in after-sales, digital services, and complex logistical support. Remazel Engineering, a prominent Italian firm based in Chiuduno (Bergamo) with operations in Trieste, China, and Brazil, brings over thirty years of industry experience. The company, with a workforce of over 160 primarily in Italy, generated revenues exceeding EUR 100 million in 2022. Remazel specializes in designing and supplying intricate systems for handling, lifting, and anchoring, as well as launch and recovery solutions for underwater vessels, especially in the energy transition sectors of the Offshore segment. It also produces critical components for gas turbines.
