Equinor to make third capacity increase at Johan Sverdrup project

Norwegian based company Equinor and its partners are planning to increase the daily production capacity at the Johan Sverdrup project in the Norwegian North Sea for the third time. Equinor and partners aim to increase the capacity of the field to 535,000 barrels per day by the middle of this year. However, the latest move will be subject to water-injection, which is planned to be taken up by the project partners for this year. The Johan Sverdrup field is located 150 km off the Norwegian coast in the North Sea and is being developed in two phases.
